Established in 2004 Sarva Dharma Samvaad is a civil society organization based in Delhi. SDS aims to reduce religious violence, casteism, intolerance, bigotry, and the associated emotional harm by creating and providing forums for interfaith dialogue and shared experience. It is initiated by youth for youth to create a new generation of interfaith dialogue practitioners. Sarva Dharm Samvaad opted for three-pronged approaches to achieve its goals. SDS has divided its process into Research and Networking, Programs, and Advocacy and Communication.

"Dialogue and Samvaad are very different terms. Samvaad isn't centered around logos but pivots around the Bhaav of Sam or Samta and then having a holistic interaction or vaad with the other. Without an Atmavaad there can be no Samvaad."
